Alvon Marie (Russell) Freeman

Charlotte - Mrs. Alvon Marie Russell  Freeman age 50 of 14804 Asheton Creek Dr. Charlotte, NC, was born February 27, 1966 in Shelby, NC to Isaiah and Christine Russell. Raised in the South, but somehow possessed a big city flare. Alvon attended the schools of Mecklenburg County in Charlotte, NC where she was raised by her aunt, Mary Parks and her uncle, the late Geodes Parks. Her spirit is carried on by her soul mate for over 20 years, Eugene Freeman, the wind beneath her wings, he allowed her to just be her, the sparkle in her eyes, her two children, Corey L. DeLapp and Erica R. Russell; one precious granddaughter, Khamoni Russell; three adorable handsome grandsons, Kai,  Cobey, and Corey(CJ), the first man of her life, her father, Isaiah Hasten Russell, II; three surviving siblings, Gregory Russell (LaVonne), Dr. Isaiah Hasten, III and Ivan LaShun Russell( Jennifer); a goddaughter, Sparkles Farrar; two special covenant sisters, Tonya Steward and Theresa Poston and a host of family and friends from every walk of life.

Alvon was preceded in death by her loving mother, Christine Sims Russell and her beloved brother, Derrick Hasten Russell and a special uncle, Geodes Parks.
